Summer 2026 Camps

Dance Intensive Camp!
July 20 - July 24

Taught by Spencer Norman and Kylie Anderson, this one-week intensive will focus on musical theatre style choreography and movement fundamentals in a supportive, fast-paced environment. Designed for 7-12th graders who want to build confidence, technique, and performance skills. Camp will be held daily from 11am-12:30pm, beginning on Monday, July 20th and ending on Friday, July 24th.

Beauty and the Beast Camp!
August 10 - August 14

This one-week drama camp will engage and develop theatre skills using scenes and songs from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast! Open to 3rd-6th graders. Camp will be held daily from 9am-12pm, beginning on Monday, August 10th and ending on August 14th. There will be a showcase at 11am on the last day of camp for the kids to perform what they’ve worked on throughout the week.

Moana Camp!
June 22 - June 26

This one-week drama camp will engage and develop theatre skills using scenes and songs from Disney’s Moana! Open to 3rd-6th graders. SATURDAY CLASSES

HTG Building Blocks (taught by Risa Walles)

This 8-week class will be offered on Saturday mornings from 1-2pm, open to 3rd-5th graders. This section will focus on building the skills you need to succeed in theatre. Students will practice singing, acting, and movement, with an emphasis on feeling comfortable making big, interesting choices onstage. Classes will begin on September 26th, and continue weekly through November 21st (October 17th will be a week off). Click here to register!

HTG Improv(e) (taught by Ghett Hardwick)

This 8-week class will be offered on Saturday mornings from 2:15-3:15pm, open to 6th-8th graders. This session of Improv(e) will focus on character creation.  How do you create and fully inhabit a new character with spontaneity and depth? Advanced Acting (taught by Bill Walles)

This 8-week class will be offered on Saturday afternoons from 3:30pm-4:30pm, open to high school seniors and up. Classes will begin on September 26th, and continue weekly through November 21st (October 17th will be a week off). Click here to register!

Class Description:

Acting work:

  • Monologues and two-person scenes will be presented on a weekly basis for feedback and evaluation.  Pieces will be pulled from classic plays, and we will start with more dramatic scenes.  Comedic scenes and Shakespeare will be considered based on the abilities of the students..

Background:

  • We will discuss the roots of method acting, particularly the Stanislavski and Strasberg style of acting that influences most of our modern acting schools today.  We’ll also talk about the newer dynamics of physical acting, voice work, and the challenge to act while singing and dancing so common in our modern musicals.

8 planned class sessions - plus an additional solo performance day.

  • Classes begin September 26th at 3:30 p.m.

  • Sessions will be 60ish  minutes.  Classes will intentionally be kept to a smaller number to allow ample time for work and focus amongst all participants.  Each workshop will include time on background conversation, followed by practice and work on particular scenes.
